Donington 2011
13th – 14th Augustl 2011, Donington Park

LEW attended Lotus Festival back at Donington Park after a year away in 2010. Back in it's usual venue, but at a much later time in the calendar, it was nice to have the warm weather of August instead on the end of winter in March. The Exhibition Centre at Doinington was the same as previous years and the show followed the tried and tested format. LEW attended on Sunday only, we were informed that Saturday was busy, but Sunday wasn't a fully as we'd seen in previous years, with the crowd notabily down in numbers.SWLC didn't attend this year, which is a first since we've been attending. Strange now to have their stand there filling up one end. Most traders stalls seem smaller than previous years.

Still plenty to see with lots of Esprits both inside and out. F1 cars, the new Evora, Lotus Carltons, Elises, Elans, plus almost every model Lotus has produced over the years. RobC was showing off his 500bhp 6-speed Esprit Sport 350, which looks like a beast. PNM Engineering's stand was busy as usual, with new upgraded brake kits on show. Fancy 6-pot calipers on the front and 4-pots on the rear. Give them a call! The Lotus Forum had a good presence with a nice theme of 'Black & Gold' Lotus cars.

Take a quick look around the show using the pictures below and then have a look at the Lotus Car Park, which is always a special sight. That was Donington 2011. Back to normal in venue, a warmer date, but smaller crowd.*
