Info:	the car has been nicknamed 'The Pimp Mobile' due to the white leather; rumour has it the Factory actually called it thus when it was being built.

   

Sport 300 number 21. LHD but UK supplied car. All Sport 300 were special order; this car was ordered with full white leather interior, lift out roof (it seems many Sport 300 have a lift out roof), centre consul lift up lid storage, sport exhaust and no air conditioning.

  

The first owner (i bought the car from him) had over £3,000 worth of stereo fitted including a speaker in the passenger footwell. This was all removed (add lightness) and sold on e bay. The car had done a genuine 5,500 miles from new when i bought it in 2006. The factory serviced the car and could not believe the condition especially underneath; it is like new. I have done 2,000 miles already since June and have been told off by the odd collector for using it in the rain -but Lotus cars, indeed all cars, must be used. I am considering changing the seats to black alcantara to tone down the interior.

  

A Sport 300 is a bit mad – what a whollop of turbo you get! If you can get your hands on one (64 made and a fair few have been written off), do get a Sport 300; based on a proper race car (X180R) it is that rare breed - a modern Lotus based on racing knowledge.
